Lewes is so well served with good transport links that pupils are able to reach Lewes Old Grammar School from a wide catchment area.
By Train
Lewes railway station is a brisk 7 minute stroll from the Senior School along well lit streets. It is a favoured route for a growing number of Senior School pupils. Lewes boasts direct, regular and efficient services to the East to Seaford and Eastbourne, to the West to Brighton and to the North to Haywards Heath via Cooksbridge and Plumpton. In each case the journey is less than 25 minutes.
By Bus
The School operates a bus service for pupils, which is reviewed annually to reflect changing demand. The School chooses either to charter coaches or run its own minibuses depending on the level of use. Details of the current services are contained within the supplementary brochure but routes can always be extended or redirected to match the needs of new pupils to the School. Each bus stops at both Junior and Senior Schools.
By Car
Lewes is close to the A27, within easy reach of Brighton and Hove to the West and Eastbourne and Seaford to the East. The Junior School is located in King Henry’s Road and parking in this residential area is rarely a problem. The Senior School is in the High Street of the town. Car parks are readily available close to the school as indicated on the map.
