The aim of the Music Department is that Music should be exciting and accessible to all pupils and that the department should offer a teaching style and environment that is inspirational and innovative
Specialist music workshops are organised with local professional musicians from various disciplines
The department is now able to offer tuition on the following instruments during school times from top local teachers :-

A School Choral Society has been formed called ‘VOX’. This singing group is very popular and is led by our singing teacher Rachel Munro. There are currently 20+ boys and girls from all year groups participating.
Rachel teaches singing at our Junior School - Morley House - and also runs a popular musical theatre workshop as part of the LOGS Senior School extra curricular programme
New for 2009 is the formation of a new school Rock Orchestra to be called 'LOG-a-Rhythm' for about 12 players. This will build on Marc Orchin's work with the LOGS Rock Guitar Band
Also in the pipeline is the formation of a regular practice ensemble for the school orchestral players
In the Summer Term 2009 the department will be fully participating in the LOGS Music and Dance Concert (further details in due course)

It is hoped that brass will soon be added to the list of options
A School Choral Society called VOX has been formed under singing teacher Rachel Munro. VOX is very popular - currently there are 20+ members from all year groups.
A well supported music theatre workshop led by Rachel has been introduced at the senior school as part of the LOGS etra curricular programme.
Singing both in groups and also individual singing instuction has also been introduced at our Junior School - Morley House
