Prior to the School Carol Concert on the 10th December, David Bedford spent two days at LOGS working with both Year 10 and 11 GCSE Music students on composition projects and improvisation workshops. 

For over 30 years David Bedford has received commissions from major orchestras, festivals, ensembles and soloists, including the Royal Philharmonic, London Philharmonic and, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestras tpgether with many BBC commissions including the Proms

Head of Music Mark Orchin said

" David was able to set composition tasks for the groups with time deadlines to explore different musical ideas, as well as appraising their current work in progress.

The creative workshops gave the pupils great inspiration to pursue their GCSE work with additional imagination.

David Bedford also worked with the School choir VOX and helped them perform at the lunchtime concert on the second day of his visit with great results "
