Drama

Drama is a popular art form at LOGS and there are numerous opportunities for all pupils to engage in the theatrical life of the school. Pupils benefit from a range of performance opportunities as well as being involved backstage and set design. The school holds performances in a variety of spaces including Lewes Town Hall allowing pupils the opportunity to perform with full sound, lighting and staging technology to large and small audiences.

Courses

Drama is offered at GCSE (Edexcel Specification)

or A-level (EDUQAS Specification)

Along this pathway, pupils will improve their practical performance and technical skills, develop an appreciation of live theatre, and learn how to communicate meaning through various styles and genres. They will study a range of theatrical texts, from Ancient Greek comedies to modern-day classics, fostering a love of drama in all its guises.

The school also offers group or one-to-one LAMDA lessons in Performance and in Public Speaking.
